Clear Lake Seaplane Splash In 2016 is right around the corner. This year's event promises to be spectacular. Mother Nature has once again blessed Clear Lake with copious amounts of rain which has given us the first "full" lake in several years.
A full lake dramatically reduces the number of steel plates needed for the ramp when coming ashore. It also means the water quality should be better than it has been in years.
As you may know, Splash In 2016 will be held a week earlier this year, September 16 to 18, eliminating the competition for visitors that we have had for years with the Kelseyville Pear Festival. That should result in many more attendees at our event.
We once again look forward to welcoming all pilots and families to our Friday evening wine reception under the tent and, for those "early" arrivers, Thursday evening Tom & Ruth Lincoln will be firing up the barbecue at their home for a complimentary feast with plenty of wine to facilitate conversation around the fire pit after dessert.
